Korto is Coming to NWA

Just in time for spring, Arkansas designer Korto Momolu, who you may know from Project Runway Season Five or recognize as our February 2009 cover girl, has designed an exclusive line of jewelry and handbags for Dillard’s. You’ve watched her on TV and read about her in the pages of Celebrate, now is your time to meet her! Stop by the Dillard’s in Rogers this Saturday to get your chance to meet Korto herself. She will be making a personal appearance in the store from 1-4 p.m.

The new line, which launched just this week, features beautiful beaded jewelry that will make a statement this spring, as well as bright handbags that certainly don’t disappoint. Some of our favorites include the North-South Satchel, which comes in purple and looks like it could be just the piece to spruce up any boring old outfit. As well as the Cluster Necklace and Stretch Bracelet that are made of agate slabs in vibrant shades of purple, yellow or pink.

It has been an exciting week for Korto. Along with this line for Dillard’s, the designer also made her return to the runways of New York City Fashion Week. On Monday she showed her latest collection of original pieces, her first showcase since Project Runway. The show included pieces straight from her line at Dillard’s.

Korto’s personal appearance at the Dillard’s in Rogers is part of a nationwide tour that began in Little Rock and will continue in major cities such as Dallas, Houston, Memphis, Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Charlotte, Las Vegas and Phoenix.
